Recently, spiritual seekers from around the world converged to celebrate the solstice, in simple yet profound ceremonies that took place at sunrise and sunset on the summer solstice (in the northern hemisphere) or the winter solstice (in the southern hemisphere) on June 21/22 2011. The details of the ceremonies were described and explained on the Belzebuub Teachings blog, and since then, students of Belzebuub’s teachings have shared their amazing and profound experiences of the ancient and sacred celebrations that mystics have been part of for centuries.
Some students documented the preparations for the solstice celebrations, and celebration itself with pictures and short videos, giving a glimpse of the magical, spiritual energy that permeates such occasions.
Below, students of Belzebuub in California documented their summer solstice celebrations with this touching short video:
In the southern hemisphere, Belzebuub’s students in Sydney celebrated the winter solstice with a stunning celebration of the sunrise over the ocean, complete with the sighting of a pod of whales on their winter migratory journey:
Feedback posted in the forums of Belzebuub Teachings also shows the spiritually energising and uplifting effect that such ceremonies have had upon spiritual seekers. One student described the experience as “tapping into something which might always be there at this time of the year but usually unnoticed”, another stated, “The sun light, the whales, the freezing wind, the immense ocean, the friends around, it was one of those moments I wish they last forever”, and many others have described the positive effect that the occasion has had on them. From all accounts, the occasion was magnificent, and one that will be anticipated in the years to come.
